Jan Hujíček enters the Samohýl Škoda Team Dirt Trophy victorious

Rally driver of the Tomáš Enge SIM Racing team Jan Hujíček has made a great start to this season by winning the opening competition of the Samohýl Škoda Team Dirt Trophy esport tournament.

The tournament consists of 4 separate competitions which are held from April to July. Registered participants have 6 days to complete each of them. It is up to the driver’s decision when to complete the individual stages of a given competition. The opening event was the eRally Monte Carlo on 4-9 April, which was the best for Jan Hujicek. The young driver of the Tomáš Enge SIM Racing team avoided mistakes on the tricky stages and controlled the victory with experience. He reached the finish with a lead of more than half a minute. He thus scored a full 25 points and took the lead in the standings. Soon (from 25th to 30th April) he will be facing another battle with strong rivals – a tough gravel rally in Greece will be on the agenda. Next up are asphalt events in Germany (23-28 May) and Spain (11-16 July).

The self-styled Škoda Team Dirt Trophy is run in Škoda Fabia R5 cars using the Dirt Rally 2.0 gaming platform. Players can compete on all platforms where the game is available – Microsoft Xbox One, Sony PlayStation 4 and PC. The top three finishers from the regular season will advance to the finals, scheduled for the end of August in the form of a live event. The winner of the final event will get a ride in a real-life Škoda Fabia R5 competition special alongside Adam Březík from Samohýl Škoda Team, who is also taking part in this esport tournament.
